We have an immediate need for an aggressive Account Manager with U.S. Federal Government sales, consulting, business development, and/or account management experience selling biometric and identity management solutions, products, and services. These solutions include, but are not limited to, facial recognition, iris, palm print, fingerprint, large-scale software for identification/verification use cases, collection platforms. We are seeking a talented and professional Senior Account Manager who will join a team of experts in their field that are consistent top performers.

Your primary role will be to sell NEC BIOMETRICS SOLUTIONS AND SERVICES to U.S. Federal Government Agencies, and manage assigned accounts, in the National Capital Region.

What will you do to be a successful Senior Account Manager at NEC?

  • Maintain a healthy pipeline, perform sales forecasting, cash collection activities, achieve performance goals accordingly within the assigned agency area or product/service line.
  • Maintain and keep all account activities up to date and current using company provided Sales Force and other related tools.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings and conferences to promote product.
  • Be a recognized expert in and across the industry.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of sales activities within the assigned area of solutions and services.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, account development and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Provide strong program management and communication skills as well as, a sound knowledge of biometric and identity related technology.
  • Work hand in hand with the assigned NEC Technical Sales Engineers, Engineering Support Managers, and Solutions Architects.
  • Contact and visit prospective customers to determine needs.
  • Create and perform sales presentations to match company's products/services with identified needs.
  • Sell products/services through face-to-face contact.
  • Remain knowledgeable of company's products/services to facilitate sales efforts.
  • Often responsible for the moderately complex and somewhat difficult to close sales.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of contact via phone/on-site visits.
  • Alert clients to new or improved products/services.
  • Develop relationships with clients through networking events.
  • Relay client feedback to product development staff.
