The Program Control Analyst will provide project management office (PMO) support to a large Federal program, with responsibilities including:
  • Developing the yearly financial plan and monthly rolling forecasts, as well as tracking progress towards targets
  • Ensuring accurate estimates of IBM and subcontractor labor as well as other direct cost expenditures
  • Providing estimates of revenue and pre-tax profit impacts for potential risk and upsides to current forecast Completing month end close analysis review of revenue, expenses and client invoice
  • Researching and analyzing variances and items impacting financial performance and profitability
  • Supporting set up and documentation of internal and client project kick off meetings
  • Ensuring Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) supports invoicing and reporting requirements
  • Using and improving existing excel tools to track program expenditures against contract funding and maintain cost to complete (CTC) and estimate at completion (EAC) estimates
  • Initiating and tracking material and subcontractor execution in IBMs procurement database
  • Reviewing and approving subcontractor and vendor invoices
  • Compiling financial information and records for the execution and tracking of program monthly reviews (PMRs)
  • Collaborating with pricing, contracts, procurement, and accounting departments to ensure compliance is maintained for all contracts
  • Preparing various weekly/monthly status reports for project managers and upper management
  • Responding to routine and specific financial data calls
  • Act as liaison with other IBM departments and outside agencies
  • Level (entry, journeyman, senior, master) will be determined based on education and years of experience. This position is located in northern Virginia. It is contingent on the contract being awarded to IBM by the US Federal Government.

  • Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance + CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, project planning and control, variance analysis, and/or Federal procurement
  • Intermediate or advanced experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
